Turmeric Health Shots

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice (about 2–3 oranges)

  • 1 cup coconut water

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon SuperSpice Turmeric Blend (or ground turmeric)

  • 1/4 teaspoon SuperSpice Cayenne Pepper (adjust to taste)

  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

  • A small pinch of black pepper (helps absorption of turmeric)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the base:

    • In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice and coconut water. Warm over low heat for 2–3 minutes (do not boil).

  2. Add the spices:

    • Stir in the SuperSpice Turmeric Blend, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Mix well until fully combined.

  3. Add acidity and sweetness:

    • Remove from heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice and honey or maple syrup if using. Adjust sweetness or cayenne to your taste.

  4. Blend and serve:

    • Pour the mixture into a blender and pulse briefly for a smooth, vibrant turmeric shot (optional but gives extra texture).

    • Divide into 4 small shot glasses and serve immediately or pour into small bottles and freeze for later.

Our tips:

  • For an extra nutrient boost, add a small piece of fresh ginger (about 1 cm) to the blender.

  • Drink these shots in the morning on an empty stomach for a natural metabolism and immunity boost.

  • Start with a smaller pinch of cayenne if you’re sensitive to spice, then increase gradually.
